The home printing kits i've come across have all been a nightmare, with glitchy, slow software; and lots of wasted labels through mis-aligned printing. Based on those, i'd say it was more trouble than it was worth!
Maybe you could get some pre-printed CD's, if that is suitable for your needs? |

I prefer LightScribe... it can be a bit slow for some PC's, but mines pretty fast. I think I have a tutorial somewhere for traditional CD Labeling; I'll dig it up and see if i can post it.

I've heard that LightScribe is very nice, but I prefer my glossy labels. I swear by this brand for my Epson printer.
New CD Stomper Glossy CD Label Refills, 40 Labels (20 Sheets, 2 Label Per Sheet) As for lining things up, as long as you're proficient in measuring the CD label items before printing or layout, you should be fine. |

I used to know a guy who specialized and made a lot of money out of designing and printing CD's, he jacked it in a while back as CD's seem to be on their way out. He now imports, designs and prints USB memory sticks, his clients range from designers like ourselves who want to put our CV's and work on sticks for potential clients and he even sells them as a new form of business card. He's always on the ball.

you csan get printers than go print directly on the the cd. Much better option if you're going to do this alot. The print quality is a little questionable but less wasteful and better than the stickers often. Requires special cds though.

When I print actual sticky labels, I use this magic combo:
1) CD Stomper Kit 2) Nero 8 Ultra Edition Nero allows you to burn your data, then gives you the option of printing a label to go with the data. It imports all the data to its Cover Designer, you filter it's input to your desire, then simply choose which labels you are using (Avery, Folex, etc). It even gives you a choice of which label to print (if you have multiple labels per page). ![]() And more importantly.. it NEVER misses the alignment.

Cool.. I hope it works out for you. Goto Nero's page and download a trial if you like.
But, I promise you that LightScribe is the way to go.. all the way. Very cool. LightScribe DEMO
