Pricing a job for bridal shop

Hi,

I'm having difficulty pricing a possible job. A friend is starting up a bridal shop and she needs the work in the list below produced. I understand materials and quality of finish would affect the price which I need to research.

Logo
Business cards
Posters for shop window
Shop sign
Brochure
6 page website with simple functionality

If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated.

It really depends on your own skills. How long do you think it'll realistically take you to do it all (in hours) and how good are you? Your experience level will determine your rate per hour. And maybe you're going to discount your friend because it's a friend, i don't know, that's up to you.

My advice though is don't work for friends or family.

Business cards... $250 (layout and 100 printed)
Posters for shop window... $350
Shop sign... $1250
Brochure... $250 (layout only)

Logo = $350 for text only logo / $450 for text plus icon logo and more for custom illustrated logo.
Business cards = This is very different for each designer, but we only charge $75.00 for a basic layout and then $100.00 for printing 1000 full-color (one side) business cards. The reason we charge so little for printing is because our clients keep coming back to us. We make over $15,000.00 a year in just printing business cards.
Posters for shop window = This really depends on what kind of poster the client wants and how large they need them.
Shop sign = Basically the client's logo turns into a shop sign, so there's no need to charge more than a set-up fee for the logo to come out the correct size and formatting for their company.
Brochure = I agree with TommyLogic on this one. Start at $250.00. That price shouldn't include photos or any writing or printing.
6 page website with simple functionality = We charge around $1500.00 to start.

Please keep in mind too that each area is different in pricing. We live in Cali, but the area we live in may not necessarily have the people who would want to pay these prices. We charge more for Los Angeles and San Francisco clients.
