Default Icon design
As part of one of my college classes, i have to make a GUI mockup for a hypothetical competitor to the iphone (same specs, imaginary brand).
This includes icon design.

Unfortunately i've never done any icon design before, so before i start throwing random **** onto paper, does anybody here have any useful links for icon design styles or techniques that they'd be willing to share?

That jasper hauser one is cool. Talented guy.
I've tried a few times today to see the icon king site with no success.

open up your computer files and examine some of those icons.... my windows system folders have saved my life several times for icon inspiration for business sites and for foux pointers and such for comps.

Well, here's what i came up with. The flash interface is also complete if anyone's interested in checking it out.




I also included these 2 icons as part of the UI. Obviously i can't take credit for their design, but here they are anyway.

Here's the flash thing. I'm not happy with alot of it. I rushed through it and didn't think some things through properly. But overall i think it looks alright.
