Default Colour Settings - Photoshop/Illustrator etc (colour management)

Does anyone have any idea about using working space colour settings in Photoshop, Illustrator, etc..? I honestly have no idea what setting I should have it on if any.

Ummm... Go with the standard abobe ones if you're unsure - the main thing is to make sure they are the same in all the programs. Otherwise, you'll see in indesign that you'll get multiple versions of the same colour (all because the cmyk values will be a % out here and there). If you have CS2 or above, you caan do this simply from bridge...

Thanks Zumo. I always have just gone with the standard Adobe ones. The reason I asked was that I was given a photo to use in a display board for one of our clients and when I placed it into Illustrator it came up with a info box saying it was a different CYMK profile [U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2].

Yeah it will. Digital cameras tend to use a different space. Either convert to your space or preserve it. If you do lots of photo work, it can be worth converting to the same as your camera

If you open up Bridge and look in the colour settings, you will see that you can sync your colour profiles across all your Adobe products in one go.

Er... what Zumo said, I missed it on my first read.
