Default font+magazine

hello guys!!, i would like to ask something about in magazine.. do you know what font used mostly in magazine, annual report, print.?. specially in paragraph. i don't know what font should i use in paragraph.. if it will be readable when it prints. I'm new to magazine designing. just wanna know.. ANd what font size used in paragraph.. thnks in advance!!

That's like asking: How long is a piece of string?

Each magazine has its own preference. Personally, I'm a fan of 'Monotype News Gothic' for paragraph text. Its neat, easy to read and also has some elegance about it. Clicky Here

The body text font has got to suit the magazine style too, along with the heading font.

ah.. i've seen a lot of different font used in magazine. there's so many of them.

Magazines tend to go for 9pt in fonts with slightly larger x heights. Of course, this is below RNIB guidelines. All i am going to say is don't do a James Goggin and place 3 columns of 8pt text with no paragraph stating. I mean yuk!

RNIB states 12pt if possible, although in magazines, that can look cartoon big and make your page count rise, hence why so many go for 9-10pt or below. Ensure you have at least 2 pts of leading with bosy text, more if possible (without going silly). And paragraphy spaces/ paragraphy indentations are good form to aid reading of magazines too.
