Just keep a journal for your ideas, so you can make scribbles and such. Then when it comes to doing something big, you've already got he research lol

Bear in mind that, if you are being paid for work that you produce, you must register as Self-Employed with HM Revenue and Customs within 3 months of being 'ready for work' (not from the date you get paid).

yes yes Caroline! Tax, tax, tax! God knows what would happen if the taxman didn't get my money to waste on stupid courtcases and other rubbish.....

But yes, she has a valid point to keep it 'legit'. The fact is, if you make a mistake, you learn from it and move on. There is no right and wrong way really, just more likely and less likely. A great idea, with no planning and thought will go bust, just as much as a crap idea with loads.

If you're serious about it once everything is in place, you could do worse than to try a incubator?

Can they do that? Isn't that unfair dismissal?

Well it is and it's not. That was the impression I got from the last job. The attitude of 'no point in investing 4 months in you, if you'll then leave'. I could have appealed, but then they might have made me keep the job.

It is more how they treat you. If they treat you bad as a good employee, imagine how much worse it can get when you're not loyal anymore?

My stepsister works part time in a snappysnaps while temping for a photographer in Leeds. If that is you job, then you have a great backbone job from which to let other things come into place. Ok, it's not relevant to a role, but that could be a bonus for you as they won't care what you do when you don't work.

From the above, you seem to have a interest in web design, ya? And you just want to brush up and improve your skills already there?
