The art of it is, before websites got so large you could bookmark a full site, now you need the option to bookmark certain pages.

Forum posts will eventually get lost, blog posts, stuff on digg that interest you, so now you can keep tabs on stuff and tag it.

Yeah, I guess I just missed the boat on that one.. I don't have the need to "share" my bookmarks. Maybe if I used multiple PC terminals like at school or public library.. it might be nice to have your bookmarks there.

Missed the boat, it's pretty new in the terms of net 'newness' I'd get on while you can you never know what could replace it?

On a serious note I love the way it's all linked you can join one and import 5000 links from another source in under a minute that's progress!

this is a laymans explanation just for me. I never used any of the social sites, I really wish I had the spare time. I should really.

It's also a big way of promoting what is good and what isn't.

I have seen 18 year old coders build the sort of ideas they can't afford to promote without the money google, yahoo, msn have so they depend on sending it to pals and them sending it on etc. There's no better way than sharing it with a group you know have the same interest,

It's the oposite of spam because it only goes to people who share the same interest.
