I don't think that they should be allowed to do that on LS. New account or choosing their own logo. I also think a new account should have more than a certain amount of portfolio logos before being able to contribute to a competition. This would keep shady clients out of it. (at least I think it would).

You can get a ruby plugin that cross references user IP's much the same as the one used on here.
