Thanks, Toon. Still in recovery mode here.........but, all is going well at the moment.

OS: I believe your comments would reflect what I would say/have said! Yes?
I think CWilk said something to the effect let's start taking other's concepts and improve upon them and then let's see if those who think it's fair game change their minds...........I think so...........but, as I always say, the concept is the hardest part....anyone with good graphic programs and skills can then make changes/enhances or sometimes even ruin a good concept. I think educating some folks in what "intellectual property" means is in order.

What happened with the Glamor logo comp, anybody got any examples of what went off?

Keely, to make a long story short (I hope), a very nice logo was posted for the Glamour Room logo comp using art from iStockphoto.com. The artist of that logo didn't mention that they were using art that required more money to purchase rights since it was a logo that the client would own. So the client wasn't happy when they found out and then they got PMS and went off on all the artists in the comp and telling another artist that they copied another persons logo! Oh the drama! And the logo wasn't even close to looking like the other artist's logo...IMHO. Then the client asked Digger to end the comp early and he wouldn't, so the client deleted their own account and asked that none of their information be used to refer back to the comp.

Taking a breath....and that's pretty much it. But the client did select a winner.

the glamour room one was ridiculous in the end, i absolutely don't see what her problem was. it's a shame because it was a really good comp and she was really lovely to start with. who did she pick?
