I left what I consider constructive comments on LS and a lot of the newer LS individuals don't seem to understand at all the can of worms they would open to allow other designers to work from their concepts. I think that if we all copied their logo concepts and posted several of the same logo, they would finally understand. But I won't go there.

The sad thing is that many of us have had the copying happen. And while I understand certain logos can only be designed a certain way, there has to be at least 100 different ways to design most logos.

Anyways, here's the discussion on LS. I'm not going to respond back anymore because it seems that some have taken this to an anger level. I had commented to Kariboo in a nice and professional way and mentioned that we're located fairly close to one another. Another individual responded back in a negative personal way. So I'm washing my hands of that thread.

It's too bad that some of these people can't really comprehend the ramifications of posting the same logo. And I'm inviting Kariboo to the forum....are they already a member?

I personally believe some people spend way too much time over at logosauce arguing over a $200 (£100) prize and when you look at their portfolio at their website it's completely empty, people should spend more time getting real clients.

I saw this just a few minutes ago on LS and I must agree with your stand on it. I know OSummer removed his comments, but, I can only guess what was said. I would love to see that forum being moderated a bit tighter and for some rules to be implemented regarding concept theft/borrow or inspiration....it's kept me away a bit because it was making me ill to see it happening and nothing being done about it. Well, my PC crashed, have to recover all my files now.............and then maybe I will throw something in the ring over at LS, we'll see.
