It would suit as a logo for a special cream, or for and incontinence pad brand.

Though it's nicely done, I felt funny about it as well..........

I'm sorry but that guy is just being a pr*ck! He posted something on my ribbons of red, which did make me laugh (at the time) bc I have sick sense of humor -- but he keeps doing it to others. It's now crossed over into just plain annoying.

I can't wait until my ribbons of red competition ends. 1 month was def. too long, but it was my first time on logo sauce and I had no idea how many people would apply -- I was guessing not many. Towards the end here I'm getting too many non-serious people. Kinda sucks.

-sigh- I'm not sure about Logosauce anymore. It seems to draw a set of people I don't like. Designers on the board who are making things in MS Paint, mystery voters, people making nasty comments.

Although I won that Frog Competition -- it didn't start out well or end well. The man who ran the competition worked in the print industry -- therefore he thought he was a designer. He agreed to pay me for the Frog AFTER I made a finished logo (which he just made seem like it was going to be "drop some text in and you're done").

The worst clients to have are the ones who don't hire you for your creativity, but for your knowledge of a program so they can use you as a tool for their "big ideas" bc EVERYONE thinks their a designer.

The guy went so far as to send me a color wheel showing me that the purple I chose for the Frog didn't match any bright colors to give the logo "punch". How insulting. I know my color wheel thank you.

Telling someone do design 1/2 a logo and then getting mad it doesn't fit their ideas later is silly. That's like telling someone to design you a good set of tires, and the person makes a sweet looking pair for 50's tires only to find out later you were going for a sports car look.

The guy wanted me to go back and re-think the frog as well as do several revisions (we were up near 10 different ideas) when I finally said, "Enough is enough."

Anyone have any BETTER experiences from winning than I did? I don't know if I want to enter anymore contests. This whole thing was a mess from the beginning and it seems that people copying other's artwork is the norm.

This also put a bad taste in my mouth about freelance. I have clients at my current job, but they aren't like this. Sometimes I wonder why I chose to be a designer.

Thanks for the rant.

Always make sure you're doing it for enough money, if someone for logosauces prices started telling me how to design I'd tell them to p*ss straight off, pay me £1500 and I'll take your orders, offer to pay $100 and you shut up and let me do my thing in the quickest possible time. This is the biggest downfall of logosauce is not only are the prices so cheap the clients think they can log in and order 20-30 designers about and throw ideas around, sorry but no-way for those prices.

both the golf bags and the IJN systems ones I won weren't bad at all. In fact the golf bags guy was awesome, he didn't ask for anything added or change and because I make sure they get the right files and though probably being overly generous, I go ahead and give them all the proper versions of the logo in the first place so they don't keep emailing me asking me for this and that. Same with the IJN guy, he wanted to make sure the "contrast" was fine, but other than that it was a painless transaction. both CH"s got me the money immediately and had no problem paying up front. Too bad they all can't be like that.

Renee,....the Coat of Arms client paid right away and made no changes. But in all honesty, the $100 for a piece of art like the coat of arms was way too little. The only reason I did it was for the fun. And now that you've mentioned how much fun the frog client is, I'm so happy I didn't win.

I'm actually getting kind of fed up with the new Colt competition. I did a couple of great logos and the client commented saying so, but then he would add, 'but it's not timely or classic looking.' Then he asks if I will explore the horseshoe idea. I'm not sure I want to or have the time to do it.

There's a piece of clipart on there through another artist and he loves it. So I had to add the comment that since it's clipart, he can't copyright it.
