Need Some Designing And Naming Help

Hello, I was sent here from another forum and I need some help. Anyways, So far all i have is a background, and a container and a footer i dont know where else or how to set up my header and if wat i got so far is decent im not the greatest at designing, and as you might notice i need a name to, I was thinking Geek Gears, as my site will be a portal with pretty much anything and everyting to do with computers like gaming and development and music photos videos stuff like that and im using asp.net, pure css and ajax. i was thinking of jus having a logo on the white space with an ajax accordian menu on the right side but i dont know. thanks, jared. ps. you may also email me at zammmm@gmail.com, please take my screenshot and edit it as you want and try and come up with a design, thanks. pss: im trying to go for a professional appoarch like yahoos new site and some kind of brand, i kinda like geek gears but i dont know, and the left grey background area was going to be my adsense space maybe? i dono thanks. ( would professional mean lighter colors or no?)

I dunno, Toons designs are cool, but by reading the thread starters post, him mentionin yahoo and what not, he's looking at a wider audiance, what i mean by that is probably users of all age. If that's the case then the banner wont appeal to everyone.

So like zammmm him/her self sugested, a logo in the corner would work better...

Something simple, something that stands out...meh
