Logo Competition

Hi everyone

After seeing some of the talent on display here I would like to offer a competition of my own (I love competitions).

After much discussion on this forum about the name I am now looking for a logo for my new website called Kandy X-Change.

It is a site where people from various countries can swap candy from their own country with people elsewhere in the world. There is a lot more to it but that is the main thrust of the site.

I was hoping to design the logo myself but clearly I don’t have the skills for such a great project but I am confident someone here does.

I wish I could offer a huge prize but I can’t – sorry guys.

The winner of this competition will earn my eternal thanks PLUS if I decide to use your logo on the site I will provide clear credit to you and a link to your own site in a prominent place if you would like that (and if your site is suitable - no adult sites etc.).

This competition will run until I find the right design or until you get tired of entering.

P.S. Some words to describe the winning entry might be: professional, clean, simple, clever, big bright and fun.

One thing that struck me is the name's a little long. Maybe something like Kandy:Xchange might be a little better. If you've already set up the name and domain ingnore me. Just a thought.

OOOH! I HATE YOU!

The number of sleepless nights I had and stress headaches I suffered trying to come up with a name I liked and you just breeze in after a few minutes and come up with a better one.

I guess ofrcing a name never works - it should just pop right in there.

I am open to any new suggestions for a name too if they are as good as your suggestion. Do you think I should create a new competition thread for this brain storming?

Edit your post at the top to include coming up with name suggestions. I only pointed it out because it's a designers pet hate when a name isn't easy to design around but you're not usually allowed to mention it. Well done for taking it in the right context.
