Default Useless Sign Challenge - Free Logo Decals

So the weekend is coming up, and for those of you who might no have anything to do here is a useless sign challenge. Since i'm a sign designer, and i feel like the only one who is on here, i would like to see what the graphic design world can do for a sign.

Here's the challenge (all fictional)

Company Name: Fubar
Type of Business: Loungy bar place
Business Decor: Jungle / Bamboo
Sign Requirements: Scripty font, likes green, likes bamboo, needs to be let's say 4' tall 8' wide (in those proportions), likes neon sutff.

Grand Prize: Free (even shipping included) vinyl decals of your logo/favorite thing to stick up everywhere. They can be one color or digitally printed, i don't care. Just send me some artwork and you'll have yourself some stickers.

I'm curious to see what people would come up with.

4ft by 8ft - landscape or portrait or is that up to entrants?

My initial thought would be that (budget allowing) something more bespoke that a vinyl option. If the place has gone all that work on the inside, it would be a shame if the job outside was not as good.

A jungle/bamboo theme with a neon sign sounds pure evil so I guess something more mmmm wood maybe? or a lightbox system maybe....

Default Do what you think is right

All i can say is those are the specifications. It's a fictional proposal, so there's no budget to have to worry about. The most practical but unique designs wins.

mmmm see thats were I'd think it would be worth researching further. I mean the project already directs towards green, scripty fonts which maybe not be, in the real world, right for the brand. I'd say that the design should dictate the kind of sign if it is a new job rather than the other way around.

All ideas are welcome. In the real world for me, my customers never really "know what they want" if you know what i mean.

i wonder if you're going to be the only participant.

Nah, I could use those decals.

I'm in.

It'll take a day or three though, 'cause I'm moving and pressed for time.

Since I've never done a large sign before, some questions.

1. (probably very stupid question) does the file need to be 4'x8', or is a mini mockup good enough?
2. Is there anything I should know about designing signs I should know about so I don't waste your time?
3. Any info on the material (canvas, hot wax glossy, whatev) that would usually impact your design decisions?

I would answer No to all of them, if its just a 'mess about' and not a live job
