Accounting software

I'm going out on my own and freelancing. Does anyone have a good accounting software they can recommend? I run a Mac.

Quickbooks.

It does everything. Invoices, inventory, payments received....you name it, it has it. I've been using it since the mid-90s and I don't have any complaints.

But.....I do suggest you try and find software or a class in your area to use the software to the fullest extent.

Thanks, I was secretly hoping someone would mention an open source solution!

I also use NeoOffice, which is open source. If you haven't tried that it's worth giving it a go. It's much cleaner than regular, yucky MS Office.

i did try neo office, i switched to open office though when a native version came out for osx - neo office is just a port of open office

open office pwns!
every time a client wants a power point file i help them install that program and then charge them $120 for consulting.
