Default what is your budget

In my client briefing I ask the question of budget?
If they provide me with a low figure and I know right off the bat that it is not enough to do the job then should i say:

1) Mention right away that it will cost more?
2) Still go ahead and provide them with a quotation
3) Not call them back
4) Any other ideas you have would be appreciated

Yes i agree.... still provide them with a quote/proposal and try and break things down as much as possible so they can see where there money is going and why it will cost more then there budget.

totally agree with flashwiz, you could aditionally submit a solution that fits within their budget..........gives them an indication of the gulf between budget and expectation.
