Default Advertising?

Just curious, but what kind of advertising does everyone else here do? Currently I am doing Google AdWords and posting in forums, but what else would I do???

The most important thing people miss are URL links don't count a lot for search's it has to be descriptive text links, for example your signature will be spidered but no one will be searching for 29FIVE Designs, people will be searching for designs but the percentage of design links you're up againsts makes your chances very low. A text link that said....

29FIVE Designs provide Helpdesk Support Software, Web Design, Network Contracting and Computer Consulting.

Would pop up in search's alot more.

A good example of this is type logo sauce in google and you'll see this forum pop up, not because of the links going there but because the links are descriptive and linked between the two.

Thanks Toon. But what about out side the forums? How did you get this site to be so popular so fast?

To be honest if you do things for people they'll do things for you. The basics are experience counts alot, always keep on top of new technology, SEO is not a code google tell you want they want, stick to the rules, exchanging links are helpful if the links are relevant, if you want to be the best put in the work there are no short cuts and the most important thing.....be nice you never know when you might need a favour.

Your reputation is all you have to live on in this business, the internet brings people together faster and bigger than any other technology, which also means if you make enemies more people will know about your faults faster and bigger than anything before.

Note to self: Change my signature

Good advice toon, thank you as well.
Now, I have a link to a site that is of interest to me that at appearance seems irrelevant, but I want people with common interests to possibly see my services as well {Howard Roark in my signature}
What's your thoughts on that?

ohh I forgot.. the question at hand.

Do you guys have Craigs List there? It is like a cheap classified ads for all major US cities. I know a LOT of people who are interested in spreading their name, spend a great deal of time diggin through there, finding relevant jobs and replying to them. It drives a lot of people to your site.

The best advertisement in any business though is word of mouth !!
