Opinions please

I had an argument a while ago with some designers on whatever this website :

is bad or not. I think it's bad. I'm not saying the dude hasn't got some design sikills. I'm just saying his website looks like after Hiroshima. What do you think ?

The problem isn't that it's bad (it is). The problem is getting the person to understand that fact for themselves.

And you're not going to do that with opinions. However if you sat, say, a dozen potential clients down and got their reactions, you'd be more convincing.

Very often, with sites like these, people will go through magnificent backflips. ....They'll say you're against "experimental" design -- despite never doing user testing or applying a methodology any proper experiment requires.

A lack of response. People leaving the site. No coversions or sales. All these will argue far louder than anything you can say.

Get evidence on your side -- proper evidence -- and you'll get people to change their opinion more often. For some people even a dozens of posts in a forum is still just opinion.

First of all - I wont say that it is bad - I kinda like the popping up boxes - but I feel that that is all it has. I do however feel the man should have gone a little farther in the graphic design area - since most of the things in his portfolio are graphics. The only thing that I can assume is, he knows more about print than web. I don't know - if I was a client I definitely wouldn't hire him because of the lack of professionalism.

my thign was not against the layout as such, just the colours. I mean just because the colours are there does not mean they will look good to use.

The layout is great and your ads are blended well. Everything is easy to read too!
design is perfect and with good information i wanna want have such a nice site
I would have to disagree from their comments. I think you should improve your fonts especially your header tags.

May be some qualitative web designer shall provide you the necessary productive feedback.
