I strictly use DIV's in table-less design. THere are way too many reasons to list why, but one of the biggest reasonings is that should you ever be in a position to have to update or redesign and entire site, it's easier to do a sitewide update by simply changing the CSS and maintaining the content.

Tables are unsuitable for anything other than tabulated data, and should NEVER be used for layout purposes.

Yeah, you can. What annoys me is people who cut out tables all together. If you need to show a table of results or something, then what else would you use?! As long as you don't use tables for layout purposes you're laughing.
