I'm no SEO expert but WOW!

Other half on nightshift this week so I'm randomly faffing online. Decided to google some random things and see if I could find myself and shocked to discover I'm on the 3rd page of the results for the term 'graphic designer'! Might explain the influx of enquiries lately, certainly not complaining!

Wonder if it's this lovely site that's boosted my ranking!

try http://www.linkpopularity.com/ and see how many links you have. According to that site you have over 3,000 links pointing to your URL. That's pretty good. They're obviously finding you from somewhere.

A friend of mine was over the moon because he appeared on the first page of google for his keywords, then he realised he was logged into goolge and apparently sites you visit more often are placed higher due to personalised search being on. Pretty gutted when he realised he was infact about 300th.

I have a good mate who does it for a living, if you want his contact details PM me.

I do know that Google and other search engines like headings i.e. the

tags and so forth. It's what you put in your headings that gets looked at, so think carefully about what you title posts or pages. They also like text links with text relevant to pages linked to so a link that simply says 'here' won't be as effective as a link that describes its destination.

Submitting a sitemap to google is also a good way of getting a good page ranking.

Sitemap hasn't got anything to do with pagerank

lol... yeah I wish that were the case. Yes they are and no they aren't.

When I made the page, I didnt plan on keeping its current format for so long. I just haven't had time to do the design completely. Now, I'm in the process of trying to decide if I want to keep it or redesign it.. the front page shouldn't be a intro page like it is.. I just haven't decided on a final format. So all the Titles on that page are ready to be set to h2, and all the subtopics h3, etc..

So no.. they aren't hidden. I jsut need to decide what to do for a final.
