Default xhtml and css books

Christmas is near and my parents are telling me I need something other than the imac on my list...so a book it is!!! ;)

I could do with a reference book that explains how to hand code websites in xhtml and css...any suggestions?

Also, is there anywhere that I can find an index of all xhtml tags and there uses? i.e.

-

-

etc etc?

edit: just done a search through the forums and found this BOOK

has anyone used it?

thanks in advance!

the O'reilly pocket reference books have been invaluable to me over the years. i have all three versions of the HTML/XHTML reference and both versions of the CSS one.
after all this time i still use them at least once a month if not close to weekly.

I would recommend the O'reilly Reference books; I have the CSS pocket one, and its really when you cant be bothered to trawl through old websites to find that nifty bit of code ;)
