Default RSS Feed help

Hi everyone, I'm creating my first ever RSS feed for my company website. I've completed the build of the feed, uploaded it, got it validated, and it seems to work. My question is a simple one (hopefully! )

On websites with RSS feeds available, on the homepage you see an RSS icon in the address bar, as here:

How do you get this to happen? Is it just a matter of linking to the feed through the hompage and it recognises it?? Or is there a more complex method?

Thanks!

Ohhh right lol. Errm, not sure. At a glance this looks promising: How to integrate an RSS feed into your website | B. Mann Consulting

Try: integrate rss into website - Google Search

Have you done this part

How browsers know there is an RSS feed on a website

You have created an RSS feed and it is now stored at root of your website. You must let browsers knowing the existence of this file and its location, when they enter and display the home page (or any other page if you want). Firefox will display the feed icon into the URL field, Internet Explorer on the bar of commands.
To activate them, insert the following line into the source code of the page, anywhere inside the section:
