How are you loading these images into Flash?
You using an array to randomly grab one? hardcoded links to them?
is the slideshow a seperate swf from the main? if so are they both published in the same version of flash?
Not sure if this post belongs in this forum, and I'm not exactly sure how to describe the problem I'm having, but here it goes...
Regarding the web site Luxury Condominium of The Residences at the Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia, basically, images on one of my web sites sometimes load with lines through them, sometimes only half the image loads and the rest is gray, and other times it loads fine. If the image loads incorrectly, when I clear my cache and reload it, it's generally fine. Here is an example:
Bad Image on First Load
After Clearing Cache and Reloading
My guess is that it has to be a server issue. I have about 4 servers, all configured exactly the same way. When I put this site on any of my other 3 servers, this problem never occurs. It is only on the one server, but I can't find out why. I don't even know where to begin doing a Goolge search to figure this problem out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!![]()

Thanks for the response!
While this example is a flash file, not all of the graphics on this server that are broken are diplayed through flash files. To answer your question however, these images are pulled into flash through an XML document. The physical files exists on the server and is refrenced through a Flash call. The XML file is dynamically created whenever the web site is updated in the CMS, so the images are not random on the front end of the site. And yes, all flash files were built in the same version and on the same machine.
I'm pretty good with server troubleshooting, but this one is throwing me through a loop.
Thanks!
hmm
Are you performing anytype of server handled resize and cropping of images?

Actually, yes, We are using Efflare's IMAGECR3 resizer (it's a Cold Fusion site obviously). But, the other servers use the same tool and the problems don't occur on them. What are you thinking?
well what you know is its not the web end. as it functions on 3 servers and not 1.
So there has to be something different with the 1 server. It may be just that installation of the app on that server possibly?

Good point. I'll take down the software and reinstall it. It's worth a try! Thanks for your help.
well, let me know how that works out.
