Is it me or are Design Forums starting to look really dated?

With the exception of this one and maybe one other I can name, most of the big design forums look like they did 10 years ago. You'd think if they were run by designers they'd want to be up to date and look modern?

Most use out of date software as well giving their users only half the experience they could have on modern systems like Xenforo

The web is awash with sites that look outdated, it goes to show how quick things move and how important it is to keep up to date. One of the main reasons for joining here was me searching for forums that use the latest tech whether Xenforo or VB, the latest version told me it's kept well up to date.
