This is what I have been following for a while...
Anyone using this method yet? Tried it? Had luck? Basically, its a method for developing reusable widgets from within Dreamweaver. Spry From Adobe Labs The Spry framework for Ajax is a JavaScript library for web designers that provides functionality that allows designers to build pages that provide a richer experience for their users. It is designed to bring Ajax to the web design community who can benefit from Ajax, but are not well served by other frameworks. See the technology overview of Spry on Labs for more information › See the Spry framework frequently asked questions (FAQ) › Table of contents 1 News 2 Downloads 3 Articles 4 Demos 5 Sample Code 6 Spry Tips 7 Sites Using Spry 8 Browser Support

I downloaded a DW CS3 trial and I looked at Spry first thing, I didn't find it all that impressive I'm afraid... Although I did make a page full of examples to recycle once my trial runs out hehe :)

Figured it out.. the JS passes the effect through as animation. Firewall's set to block animation will block that too. No big deal, I figured it had to be something like that.

Hows the spry work going anyway?

Well.. the Spry work is coming along... I was having some issues with the coding vs. the documentation avaiilable online. Turns out they had another prerelease.. now version 1.5. This one has dramatically improved on the datasets involved and added a couple new widgets.
This one is pretty slick Sliding Panels Now I'm totally reconsidering how I build my pages... you can see the progress here as I make decisions on my personal site Re-Design (my site might be up and down on and off as I make changes to it. let me know if you experience this). Totally rethinking the whole process as with sliding panels and other JS I can pretty much build a site in half the pages.. an old 4-5 page simple design can be done on 1 or 2. I'm pretty much concentrating on the data and application building now for my own learning process, so if anyone knows anything about data and XML incorporated into an AJAX environment... feel free to chime in

Out of interest do we know how or if the sliding panels are spidered?
