Best way to show work/images on website?

I am currently using Slideshow Pro, but I dont like it to display my work.

I could use tables, so when the image is pressed it opens up in a new windows etc. but this is abit boring.

Any other suggestions?

Yer I have seen that, but isnt there alot of coding involved, like putting the image title and the extension into every bit of code.

I dont mind paying for some good software. I payed $50 for the Slideshow pro, and that came with a director which does all the coding for me. Good if you have alot of photos.
