    Image Slideshow

ADVERTS - NOT VISIBLE TO MEMBERS

    Hi,

My first post! i'm looking to create an HTML image slideshow for my Portfolio.

I'm looking for something like this:

    http://www.weareraw.co.uk/work/11-out-of-10

    or

    Stuart Whitton

I want something with just a left and right button so that when you go to the last image it goes back to image 1.

I would prefer with the scrolling image like in the 1st link.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Mark

ADVERTS - NOT VISIBLE TO MEMBERS

Anything that could be said to be "helping" would have to include the question, why?

Whitton -- either the controls didn't load or it's one of those contextless slide shows, which many won't understand ARE slide shows. Why mouse over something unless you think it does something, and one static image doesn't do anything ...that's what it looks like: one photo. Doesn't say slide. Category of Work gives no clue whatsoever.

wearaw -- the classic contextless number scroller, forcing the user to go linearly through all the photos. Although it's good to be all one project, probably not the best choice for the user to get the view they want to see what they want. Again, while there is a sort of navigation - it is ambiguous, mystery meat, and real small. My guess is a surprising number of viewer also perceive this as one photo.

Oh. Wait. Are we talking assisted suicide "help"? 'cause I'm not into that.

Powerpoint has a dubious reputation when used in regular, linear, "shows" where each slide should be taken in order. Best not repurpose the slide show format for something it was never meant for -- no matter how popular the misapplication. Uses are not nearly as thrilled with the gimmickry as the "creative" using it.

Once you've ignored all that "user" stuff, I'm sure anyone can tell you how to use your browser's View > Source to determine this travesty was performed by Jquery ...the politically correct version of stupid Flash tricks.
