Default Has Anyone Used Volusion....

Hey Guys:

We're evaluating packages for our eCommerce site and are considering going with Volusion. http://www.volusion.com/shopping-car...-solutions.asp. It looks to be real customizable and scalable, and they have a fairly strong client/reference list.

Have any of you guys used it before, and if so what are your thoughts on it?

Thanks for your help.

George

In all honesty cube cart if you want to do as much as you can yourself, if a designer's going to do the build, please, please, please let him make the choice him/herself.

LL:

Thanks for the tip on Cube Cart. I'll check it out. As for letting the designer pick the package, I agree that would be ideal, but we have 4 designers/programmers to hire for these projects and inevitably everyone has a somewhat different view on what the best package is.

In the end, we will select the one that has the most built-in functionality while still allowing for plenty of customization when necessary. And in talking to a few existing Volusion customers, if you buy the licensed version of their product, it seems to fit the bill.

Also, it’s important that whatever we decide on is able to interface well with our general financial, inventory management, shipping, and vendor systems; which turns out to be a greater challenge than just finding a robust eCommerce package.
