If an experienced user runs the risk of missing nav how do you expect young, old, partially sighted etc.... you get the idea, accesability is a must.

The person surfing this website must be someone who go all over the website and find that hidden button. I managed to find it though.. Lol! It would be much much better like what many of you guys mentioned, make the < and > button visible or it would be even better if it has mini links to categorise the works.

I actually like it. I think it gives a good way to view the portfolio. Although what i would change is make the nav buttons either stay there and not fade away or just make it clearer as i had to look for what to do for a bit at first. Possibly the same idea embeded onto a smaller page so you can eaisly navigate it and get to other places like the contact at the same time.
