Which Broadband Dongle thing?

Howdy,

I'm getting on of these Mobile Broadband dongles for on the move, but with so many options i was wandering what everyone else was using and if there was a standard type people used.

Other additional information would be download amounts and why you picked that type.

I'm on 3 and its brilliant - frustratingly though, a lot of these companies launch services practically ignoring the Mac (the instructions were awful for Mac setup, while they obviously put a lot of work into making the PC setup crystal clear!).

Anyway, I couldn't get it to work right away, and had to research a bit online and download some drivers (from somewhere other than 3!).

Now its working its very reliable and surprised me how quick it was - naturally it can't hold a candle to cable broadband, but its good for general surfing, emails, etc.

I'd say if you're on a PC, go for it.... If on a Mac be prepared to do some work to install it!
