Default web design with grids?

i'm decently new to grid based design.

I'd like to take some of what i know about grids, and reflect that in some web designs. Now, on to the questions

Photoshop grids tend to be rather tedious. Is there an easier way to develop grids? Has anyone developed a web layout using Indesign rather than the photoshop equivalent?

Any recommended readings or software addons that could help alleviate the headaches of grids?

Ooooh, I've just made this: Typogridphy — A Typographical and Grid Layout CSS Framework From Harry Roberts of CSS Wizardry

That will certainly help you. It's had around 7500 downloads so far, care to make it 7501?

I just had images of your itchy trigger mousy finger getting all exited at the mention of grid info, what can I say I'm getting too slow in my middle age!

When does middle age set in, I've always wondered, is there a set age?

Good point, I'm not too sure. But I definitely wouldn't say before 35/40.
