Hi, I'm a friend of JOE MORGAN and was wondering if I can have some help for a business project.
Basically I need to get a rough quote for the "WEB DEVELOPMENT COST" of our imaginary venture in an International Marketing class. Here is an outline of our idea: Core of the website: Personal Health Coach on the areas of diet and sports (fitness/running/walking) Important: A competitive advantage over the already existing websites on the internet. How: -user friendly, -personalized, -frequently updated, -customer service, relatively inexpensive compared to other personal coaches, Finances think of: - customers pay a user fee, - sponsorships from fitness/health centers, advertisements on the website, -a combination of some of the previous mentioned financial sources Country: Check the book for selection criteria. Think of: Sports minded country, relatively wealthy and willing to pay money for sports and health, easy access to internet (Denmark) Partnership : Fitnessdk : 33clubs, 85 000 members leader Possible partner, probably open to cooperation Lots of special events (Christmas, Saint Valentines) We can offer: exclusive contract, more members, free use of our system (e.g. a month) and then we charge They offer us: adds (homepage, in the gym) Advantage: the feedback and supervising Watch Polar: reliable, real possible partner xisting market Some similar websites exists, but they are not as specific and as user driver as we are. They ask for data, but not really specific too general Country: Denmark Constant growth in internet using: 3 762 500 internet users (population: 5,4 millions) 69,2% of the population is using internet Needs more materialistic: looking good and being thin Fond of sports. Our advantages: Supervision + feedback Mass customization/ individual customer needs Adjust through their polar watch Part of the equipment? Should they get one before starting? (depends on partnership) Ways to implement the data? More friendly with the Polar Problems so far: Software: How much does it cost to develop such a software? Technically: how does it work? Technicians + professionals who put their knowledge into + the maintenance Security/ legal aspect: Confidentiality: what do we do with the data if customers sign out? What do we do with the data, once the customer has entered them? Rules exists already Funds: How do we finance the whole project? Venture capitalist? Price: How much should we charge? Existing website around $21 a month, or even cheaper So roughly how much would all the programming and specialist input cost on a scale in proportion to Fitness DKs 85000 members? Thanks |
