Default Save files from computer to web

Can someone point me in the way of a tutorial that shows me how to setup my computer so that I can save files directly to my web server?

use Eclipse: Eclipse downloads - mirror selection

it's a really useful tool and you can also do find and replace in as much as a whole directory tree!

Thanks. I'll have to look into it, but I was really looking at just setting up the server on my computer.

I tried to setup Microsofts server on my pc, thinking i would be easier - it wasn't.
I would recommend the likes of the above or WS_FTP, CuteFTP etc

A lot of hosting companies have a storage folder built in.. if not, simply create one through your server's File Manager in the CP. You'll probably be able to create a separate username and password for that folder. You gain access through Windows built in FTP client that works just like regular files and folders in Windows.

Once you get the hosting company's end setup, you can use this simple method.. here's a TUTORIAL for WinXP

Why not simply ftp through IE. Which works like a folder, drag/drop copy paste, right click create folder/directory and all that blahness.

open up IE then type up the following in the address bar;

poof, done.
