As a concept, it seems quite cool IF USED RIGHT. I can imagine in the wrong hands, if could be horrid.

ok, I am going to stick my neck out and aks what lightbox is?

Toon, I partly agree but I think it depends on the work first of all and also, is it being used at a portfolio? I've seen sites use similar and some work - most don't.

Don't feel bad, Zumo... I just found out what that was about a week ago. I've seen the effect, but I didn't know what it was called. I think it has other names for it too, like ThickBox, or something like that.

Ok - Same boat as you. Seeing it but not knowing its name. Though though are very different ways to deal with visual information and therefore work differently. A photographer could use the revolver well, using minimal, simple navigation to create a editorial route though the site. Where is, a thumbnail to screen way, such as lightbox would just not offer the same intergration, and may appear intrusive.
