I know this sounds a bit weird but seen as its the holidays i need something to do and i was wondering if any 3d experts or people on gdf could tell whether there are any tutorials on how to make transformers in 3ds max

Yes, but there's also a movie. Mixture of CG and live action.
There are also many toys to model from as reference.
And anything 2d can be made into 3d as long as it has a defined shape to it.
