Hi all,

Does any one know about AutoCAD, so far i just started on the tutorials, I was wondering if any of you guys can help out !

No its ok, can you tell me from experience like what kind of work you get mostly that requires this? Do you get jobs being a freelancer?

The work it's required for generally is line-drawings, often that need to be drawn to a specific scale. I used to use it to draw road and rail alignments, cross-sections of road (showing the construction, different layers, etc, then plot (same as printing) those at a scale specified by the engineer I was working with.

I don't do it freelance, but know a guy who does. He tends to use it for designing building developments, the drawings for which tend to be submitted to councils for planning permission and stuff like that.
