very impressive. on the first quick sight i couldn't tell the difference to a real one (besides the missing driver :-P) I just started experimenting with lightwave. can you recommend any good tutorial sites?
Recent job for a client, haven't done any car promo shots for a while so it was nice to land this one.
Rendered in Lightwave v9.6, hdr sky, backplate is overlaid on geometry to roughly match the road.
This the raw composite, once those magazine re-touch guys get hold of it no doubt it'll be re-colour graded.
Hope you like.![]()

hehe Cars 'driving themselves' is always a little disconcerting, the dude will probably go in in post, however I did meantion it to my client.......maybe it'll boomerang. :)
I may do my own version of Post-prod and upload the pimped version, if time allows. :)
As to tutorials, I've no idea.......the manual, which has most everything you need, is the perfect starting point.......but it's big......

Very nice render there. The left side of the image is confusing though. I can't quite tell what's going on with the background. What anything is or what's making that shape on the horizon...
Subtlety is my middle name... and first and last in case you didn't get the point.

Oh, yeah now i can see it. There are still some areas where you can see the shoop though. It's a bit out of place i think.

Thanks, yeah the backplate is not perfect..........comes with the territory. :)
My own personal take on PostProd would be something like the following, just some subtle motion blur and colour grading:

A slight bit too much with the motion blur imo. Perhaps just unsharpening the car a little would be better.
