I remember those all too well. You coud buy one of those with a really odd joystick type controller and rudimentary CAD programme which we tried out for set design. Actually it was quite good fun. Don't remember doing much else with it though, probably basic word processing I don't remember.

RoboCAD; that was it I remember now.

was my first comp, it was.

then the first macintosh, on to a tandy, then a packard bell, back to the macintosh, then a dell. been building my own ever since... if mac OS ever gets released to be put on personally mod-able hardware.... ::orgasm::
