well i decided to make a small flash promotional thing for my home page. im by far a flash user and think it turned out ok for the job it was used for. anyway i just thought i would share it.
goto and it should be the large white square, ( i know i need to make a loading bar, but i have to work out how first :) )

Looks ok to me, as you say it does what it is there for...

maybe a border or frame of some kind, to ease the transition from the white to the grey but that's not a massive problem.

I think it does not do your work justice - it is very average... sorry to be negative!

Ideas to improve it perhaps:

more imaginative ideas with the text?
changing speeds to break things up?
Lose the white box - or use different shapes?
Work on the 'make your models, concepts... come to life'

Keep going, flash is the right application, but it needs more spice.

thanks guys
no no not negative at all, i understand fully what you are saying about it being plain and not doing the work justice, but im not offering my services as a flash guru nor do i want to. in other words i dont want to spend all my working time learning flash so everyone says OH MY thats a nice presentation and then they walk away remembering the flash animation and not the work on it. i dont mind people walking away saying plain jane flash work but DAYYYMMM fine 3d work shown, as this is what im offering. i know this is a difficult thing to get the balance and im sure i will get the balance soon. hope that all made sense ;)
thanks again for taking the time to reply and your comments have been noted

Your work is GREAT! I've always wondered how it's done and it's one thing I'd like to learn as well, 3D Studio. I had a go but the interface was so confusing to me, so different to what I'm used to... Is that what you use? (if you don't mind me asking!)
About the intro: I agree about the white box, but I guess you're already working on that... I don't know how you'd feel about maybe making the animation a bit more dynamic, I can't point my finger to it, but since it's about life like models... could you do one in 3D? Also I agree with gospastic about the type I'm not sure it's doing your work much justice. On the other hand I do quite like the transitions as while reading the titles I was thinking "no way! that looks soooo real!"

Maybe at the last bit, where you say "come to life" make the word life, come to life (like it's becoming jelly or something) if that makes any sense. Since you're saying you don't want people to just think oohhhh nice flash! and go, maybe use the medium (3D) as the message?

Sorry I'm not making this easier for you I hope I haven't confused you... just ignore me if I have...

yeah a difficult one really, but basically its like this.
i cant really jazz up the animation either in 3d or in flash that much. 3d animation is a specialist subject and better left to those that do it well, so im not advertising doing that. also the amount of time doing it my clients wouldnt wait that long. they purely want a phot real product shot of the design or item already done. this doesnt mean that at some point in the future i will not be advertising that.
i think as it stands now the only bit i dont really like is the text and the transitions on them. they need to be more designed rather than they come they go, job done sort of thing. so that i can agree on :D i was thinking of something ive seen before where the text scales in sidewards and has a motion blur as its doing it, if i can find the place where i saw it i shall link it later.
either way stay tuned for more :D

oh and the interface can be daunting but DONT let that put you off. yes i use 3ds max but my main application of choice is cinema 4d and to be honest i think you should download the demo of that and dive in. ( it has a more logical way of thinking ) oh and if you need help give me a shout :)

thanks again for taking the time to read and reply
