Don't do it, have a flash header by all means but a comlete flash landing page won't be worth the extra click to get into the site
I'm designing a site for a small building company, and the guy wants a flash intro.
I'm pretty sure it's a bad idea. I'm going to do it anyway, but I want to know for sure it's not a good idea before I advise him against it.
I was searching for a set of flash intro rules/guidelines but couldn't find any.
Anyone got any advice?

"I don't build sites that validate, I prefer to charge the client extra when they break!"
Yeah that's pretty much my feelings on it, I was just making sure I wasn't out of line telling the guy that it's not a good idea.
Thanks!
Yeah, try avoid at all costs. People, myself definitely included, won't go for the second click. Anything that even slightly delays a user getting to the info they want will almost certainly have an adverse effect. Also, if you provide a "Skip Intro" button, a good 95% of people will click it, meaning that the intro is all but wasted.
Then there's the SEO, or lack thereof. A flash homepage will have a shit place on the SERPS, compared to its HTML counterpart.
