Default Flash Action Scripting for Beginners

Hello, can anyone recommended a book on learning Action Scripting for someone who has never touched action script or scripting period ? Something that does not make scripting strange?

I recommend the tutorials on Actionscript.org Flash, Flex & ActionScript Resources and Tutorials
They start slow and build up speed as fast as you want them too.
I had an actionscripting class in college, but the classes went so slow i ended up ignoring my lecturer and doing those tutorials instead. I made the right choice.
