Default Movieclip Hit areas

Hi

Is there any way to define the hit area of a movie clip configured to act like a button? It's just using the images and it's too large...

Well, you see a button is just a type of movie clip set up to make rollovers and hit areas easier to manage. I think your best bet is to move your movieclip inside a button and define a hit area that way. Too tired to explain fully, i think you can figure out the little details.

Yeah I kinda know that way - never seems to work for me though!! I've found a bit of actionscript that uses a different movie clip to define the hit area so I'll give that a bash!
