Haha, I wouldnt go that far. Shaun Of The Dead is pretty unbeatable.

Lots of completely gratuitous violence though, and many, many guns.

oh yes, its fairly insane in that way. I think its hard to put shaun of the dead next to it really because its so different. Also shaun was identifibly more as someone like us who becomes a hero

hmm ive just got back from seeing it and it was O..K, got nothing on shaun of the dead! quite alot of funny parts but think it was over rated

mmmmmm don't forget that shaun of the dead just popped out of leftfield and everyone saw how different/good it was. where as this one did have lots of relative hype. its always hard to reach those high expectations once set.

back on topic... i feel that hott fuzz was trying to take on what shaun of the dead has already done, which was a near perfect film i must admit.. but the concept was no longer new. there were times when i was ******* myself and spilling popcorn everywhere but i felt a bit dissapointed as i dont think it lived up to the hype!
