Just seen it. Pretty interesting, but too short. The ending is a kinda cliche (the martyr who sacrifices for mankind blah blah). Very good idea but they could have worked more on it.

Its a remake, but it isn't such a bad movie. I agree the ending is a little cliche though. Can't expect much better from Hollywood though.

The Omega Man (1971)

Robert Neville, a doctor,due to an experimental vaccine, is the only survivor of an apocalyptic war waged with biological weapons. The plague caused by the war has killed everyone else except for a few hundred deformed, nocturnal people calling themselves "The Family". The plague has caused them to become sensitive to light, as well as homicidally psychotic. They believe science and technology to be the cause of the war and their punishment, and Neville, as the last symbol of science, the old world, and a "user of the wheel", must die. Neville, using electricty, machinery, and science attempts to hold them at bay.

Actually this (link below) is the original movie that was made from the book "I Am Legend". So Omega Man is a remake too. : )

I enjoyed I am Legend, was a fun film but i thought the CG was dire and I prefer the books skew on things although a lot of the stuff done in the film was more interesting than in the story.
