Disciple?

The DVD special features have director's commentary, background on how the animation was created (shooting on cheap camcorders and then adding the illustration on computer - all manual tracing, nothing automated), commentary by all illustrators (eg. on the red-haired philosopher with the undulated hair), commentary on problems encountered during shooting (glass reflections in the car scene), etc etc.

I first thought they used a simple auto-trace function, but each scene was carefully crafted and imprintined with the artists' unique style. I was very impressed.

yes indeed a huge work, I'm looking for the dvd.
'Follower' is better? I read 'La Città del Sole' many years ago and obviously I was fascinated as for 'Politeia' by Plato: good times studying ancient philosophy!

Watched two films over the weekend and learnt a great lesson in what is clever humor and what is just plain stupid humor.

Sat down and watched Talladega Nights with Will Ferrell it was the worst wrote comedy in recent years, I lost count of how many time he stripped down to his underwear and you were meant to laugh.

Watched Wedding Crashers last night and found it quite amusing the comedy was dark enough to be clever without too much slapstick and I quite enjoyed it, better than I thought it would be, let down was Will Ferrell (Surprise) appearing near to the end and being too over the top. Worth a watch.

Not yet watched the movie, but I know Alan Moore's masterpiece well.
The mixture of fascism - which unfortunately was an italian matter - and London urban background is still very intriguing and the moral message is nowaday - Richard III with Ian McKellen has a similar representation (strongly suggested)

Watched 'My Super Ex-Girlfriend' last night. What a load of toss. Avoid it if you can.

Yours is the second bad opinion I read about this movie, the first one is from John Byrne (from his forum at http://www.byrnerobotics.com/) - if you were | are into marvel comics you certainly know whom I'm talking about

Watched ' A Time to Kill ' again the other day, that is a class film.
Bit of a sad story but still good

Watched Batman begins today, very impressed. It shows what a good director, a good cross section of good actors and a story that needs telling the correct way can do for a movie sequal/prequal.

Batman begins is a very good film.... took me by suprise when i watched that... was kinda expecting the same old thing...

Other than that... dont know where to start with films... apart from ive been putting them all into digital format on a hard drive so that i can stream them over the network to my tv.... got so tired of looking for the one i wanted... now all 727 of them can be found in an instant using the old remote :-))))
