Toon, you are missing:

21 Grams – Beautiful movie with terrific acting and scrambled storyline (Sean Penn and Naomi Watts).

Amelie – A quirky world with super-saturated colour and unusual characters.

Dogville – Nicole Kidman at her best.

Memoirs of a Geisha

Stranger than Fiction – Funny and brilliant. Will Ferrell actually acting.

The Fountain – Get it if you’re a fan of Darren Aronovsky (director of Requiem for a Dream).

United 93 – Very well crafted documentary about a sensitive topic.

I watched The Fountain the other day. The storyline is very abstract (and not everyone's cup of tea), but the cinematography is beautiful! It features spherical space ships and dying stars, yet instead of using CGI, the director opted to use micro-photography of chemical reactions in a petri dish (of course, you don't know this, it looks like intergalactic imagery).

Sounds good I like something a little unusual.
