The name of the brand is called: Kelicious - or Delicious Kelicious (I'm not sure yet). My logo needs to something stupid or really crazy, like maybe a unicorn or something like that. Ofc I think it should be original though.
(Btw, first of all I'll be doing t-shirts and sweatshirts.)
But to get to the point. If you have any ideas, please let me know. If you're willing to try to design someting, feel free to do that.
But replay with all your ideas and etc!
If you come up with something really good, I'm maybe willing to pay you something!. :w00t:

Thanks in advance.

Milton Glaser’s I Love New York logo
When it comes to seeing a logo that makes you wonder, “Why didn’t I think of that?” what is it about the design that gives that impression?
My good friend Lee Newham taught me about five important design elements when it comes to brand identities. Iconic logos are:

Describable

Memorable

Effective without colour

Scalable i.e. work when just an inch in size

Relevant to the industry in question

Points one and two go hand-in-hand, because if you can’t describe what a logo looks like then how will you be able to remember it?
Point number three is important because colour is secondary to the shape and form. I always leave colour to the end of the design process, because if the mark doesn’t work in black only, no amount of colour will rescue it.
Point number four is vital for collateral, such as office stationery (pens, pin badges etc.) — all those little things that can easily be overlooked.
Lastly, the design must be relevant for the business it identifies. This is accomplished through indepth research into the industry involved, and helps to differentiate from closely associated competitors.
I’ve chosen a logo to illustrate the five points:

The above logo is for Open University (OU), “the UK’s leading distance-learning organisation.” You can view the OU website here, where you’ll see the design used in context (and much smaller in size).

There are a number of text layout variations, which gives greater freedom for those reproducing the logo in different formats. For example, the top right mark (above) wouldn’t fit on the side of a pen as well as the centre right version (above).
What I enjoy most about this design is the simplicity (the ‘O’ inside the ‘U’). The OU logo has evolved over the years, and didn’t always have the ‘glass’ effect—a common trend amongst today’s logos. You can read more about logo trends here. It’s important to remember, however, that trends don’t last, and by designing using the latest fad, your logo will become dated, fast.
Take a look at how the OU logo appeared in the past (below).

The typography leaves a little to be desired, but the same dinstinctive, memorable, scalable, describable, reproducable mark was used to set the Open University apart from its competitors.
Do you have a favourite logo that uses these five universal elements? Perhaps there’s another factor you think should be shown.

Also here some great books about logo designs.

Saw an advert for this on 4OD last night. Now I'm far from the target market, but it's truly an abomination of a logo isn't it?

I really can't understand it. It's for the NCS aimed at 16 & 17 year old's.

What's with the hashtag symbol? Perhaps because all these young types do all day is tweet?

Alright, we've got ourselves a hash symbol, it's hip and young, now how can we spruce it up? Well lets crowbar in some letter shapes using the NCS letters? Check, but we need to use lowercase letters so it's "ncs". Oh and to fit them in it'll have to read "scn". And the s will need to be abused awfully because we want to get the whole "overlapping colours are cool" logo trend in.

It's a hash in every sense.

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

I am in the process of switching my small business from a family portrait photography business to a social media marketing business. In the past, I've tried to hire a local graphic designer for my logos, with poor results. I've decided to take on the challenge of designing my new logo myself. For three reasons, I know what I want my brand to represent, I know the type of clients I want to attract and I get a strange sort of fulfillment going through the design process.

Ok, I'm having a bit of a problem reconciling the brand identity of my family business - it's been running for quite a few years now (online) but it's been operating under a generic descriptive name, as used in the URL (legacy from the DOT COM days when it seemed to be all in the name - just for example, let's say bigredsocks.com).

I need to keep the site as it's rated fairly well on Google but obviously this isn't ideal from a branding point of view - I never used a graphical logo in the past, just the company typography, and there's plenty of other companies selling the same type of product and some even using a similar mashed up name (e.g. different word order, or using hyphens).

So, I'm not quite sure of where to go from here but I know I have to create a stronger brand image. I attempted at doing this last year (with a stronger name and it's own logo e.g. Simply Socks) but I'm wasn't sure how the marketing works alongside the URL/old name. I currently have the new name/logo running alongside the old name/URL but it's not that prominent, more of an after thought at the moment. As I wasn't that confident on direction, I didn't push the new concept very hard - brochures, emails etc still bearing the old generic name too, as I didn't want to be completely divorced from it.

I realise this might be leaning more into the field of business practices rather than graphic designs but it's overlapping and I'd appreciate any thoughts.
