Hello all. A few of you may remember me from 5 (really) years ago, but for those that don't...

I'm Holly. I'm a Graphic Design graduate who lost her mojo with her degree and I'm back to find it and get a bit of help along the way. Primarily I work with illustration and identity, although I'm a jack-of-all-trades really, I love my camera, my sewing machine, my cutting mat...allsorts. Really looking forward to getting back into the community, finding my inner creative and getting to know all the new and old folk along the way :)

My website is a mess and very out of date, but I'll be working on that after I've found my creativity again. In the meantime, it should give you a vague sense of what I really miss doing.

How to make perfect vector swirls in Illustrator...? Help with logo needed.

I'm creating a logo for a make-up artist, and I'm trying to create a swirly logo mark, but I'm having issues with the path.
I have drawn the path by hand, after my sketch, and this is what I've come up with. I like the mark as it is, but the swirls are not perfect.

I've been tweaking them for a while, but I'm wondering if there's a faster way to do this. Anyone know?
Also, I wanted to look at some other logos like this (I know there are many), but I just can't remember any and my interwebz search has been effortless.
Please post if you know of any, so I can take a look at them.

Illustrator Design Issue Help, Please !

I had traced an image of the African Continent using the Pin Tool in Illustrator. Looks great, just one problem, I don't know how to divide it into three sections so that I can add the Pan-African Colors to it.... Can anyone please advise me on how to section Top, Middle and Bottom off so that each can be a different color?

I got an invite to join so I joined, easily led, well, nice to be wanted.

Work from home and have 2 kids, a wife, 2 iMacs, 1 Mac mini server, 1 iPad, 1 x Time capsule (invaluable).

When I'm not watching netflix I design websites and other stuff (mostly web & marketing emails). Only use Mac for working, (although have a cheap PC laptop for testing websites. i feel dirty tho.)

After completing the logo for Black Beauty Systems I've started on the stationery, starting with the business card.

This is just my first idea. I want to use the symbol from the logo as a pattern across all of the print material in future use.

I've also now included a colour into the design (not sure if it should stay or not) so let me know what you think.

I have been working on this one for a while but haven't had much time to invest due to projects. I have been working over the weekend and now have it at a stage where I think its nearly where I want it, other feedback has been very good, but want to see some professional opinions and most important suggestions.

Please explain why you don't like it if that is the case, otherwise don't bother speaking as your opinion as it will be ignored. I'm looking for constructive criticism.

Here are two variant of the logo. The circle coloured version will be used on the web with jquery to animate the colours on hover, it will also be used on some letterheads and invoices. The second will be used for avatars and most likely business cards as I like to keep my business cards very minimal with no colours or solid colours.

Hi Guys,

I need some help if you would be so kind. I've got my new site designed and I'm happy with it overall...what I'm in need of is anyone who knows of a drop down menu that would look similar to the one shown in my jpgs.

So that on hover or click (not fussed) the bottom line of the nave drops down to reveal the sub navigation with a nice drop down transition...

If anyone knows of a good resource for this please let me know.

WordPress Theme Not Showing Up Properly In Preview Mode
