I've never had that problem happen, I sometimes delete guides I've drawn because I'm still getting used to being able to select them in CS3
Hello everyone.
I've encountered a weird thing in InDesign (CS3, but I think it was the same in CS2): lets say I'm viewing my document 1200% and I place a guideline. When I go to the "whole page" view, the guideline doesn't show up anymore. However, if I zoom in very closely - there it is. Weird. Also, that doesn't always happen. Usually it works fine with showing guidelines whatever the view. I wonder now if that is some kind a strange setting (which InDesign seems to be full of). Has anyone else even had that problem?
Lunch time!!!

Power is domination, control, and therefore a very selective form of truth which is a lie
sometimes deleting preferences for Indesign (then restart the app) can fix weird things like that. I remember that problem on CS2–it hasn't happen on my CS3 version
2010 is gonna be a good year... dammit!
Thanks, Strev. I'm gonna try that. I'm glad it happened to you too. Sometimes I'm questioning myself when things like that occur :D
I've seen similar issue, it turned out to be a memory problem.. inadequate or faulty RAM or video card can cause these anomalies
