Hard to do logos in photoshop, they're usually images and an image isn't always a logo.

They're for different use and both great in what you use them for, you can't really compare them...
As a very general guide, Photoshop is for image manipulation and filters and effects and Illustrator is for graphics. Here's the geeky bit just in case it's any use: A big difference is in the way the information of the file is stored, in Photoshop it's for every single pixel of your image, whereas in Illustrator it's the vectors that define your graphics which is why file size is usually smaller and why you can't just go making photoshop images bigger, you're adding information were it doesn't exist therefore the image become pixelated. You can icrease Illustrator graphics as you like because it just recalculates intself mathematically. They do have bits and pieces you can use in both, like shadow effects in Illustrator and the pen tool in Photoshop but it's best to know when to use which application for what you need to do. you cant compare them. One is outputting vector, the other is not. Besides, one of them can do animation apparently. Poll is bunk.
